Claim, Scripted Answers, Bait and Switch Tacics, Need I go on??
Back in October 2014 I went threw ESurance for renters insurance as I had many break ins at my apartment, and one attempted break in, on Nov. 2nd 2014 I had another break in, not only did they steal a bunch of stuff (electronics, etc) but they vandalized just about everything in my house (I am gone from my home every Sunday from around 6pm till around 10pm, so I know I am being watched and targeted, and I know who these people are), I filed a police report, called ESurance to make my claim, was given 3 different companies that my renters insurance policy could be threw... Finally called Homesite and made my claim, My claims Adjuster, Joel Sanchez (who btw has only been with the company since Aug. 11, 2014) was nice at first, but after finding out that the damage and stolen property costs came to over $19,000, I have had nothing but headaches from this company, I had to argue with Mr. Sanchez to get him to send someone out to take pictures of the damage to my apartment, he told me they usually only do that for homeowners policies, but finally did get him to agree to send someone out, I was asked to submit proof of ownership for items I listed as stolen (proof of ownership for destroyed items, and 1 stolen item came from the company they sent out to take pictures) I filled out and faxed in my sworn statement, one of the questions was had I ever had a loss with another company, I said yes, well, when I did the recorded statement, I said no (I believe it was because I was asked within a certain amount of time not sure to be honest) well, they found 2 prior loses in 2008 and 2009, both of which I had electronics stolen in, well, because some of the items are "similar" they now want me to show that I replaced the items back then, mind you, I showed photo evidence of proof of ownership of these items, my question is, how is that these photo's are not also proof that the items were replaced, weather back in 2008 or in 2011 should not matter (I replaced the items right away mind you, I just have no way to show it, I even went to the other insurance companies, but they did not have all of the receipts I submitted), I still have not gotten a satisfactory answer to my question.
I say this to everyone out there, especially our military both active and veterans and their families, STAY AWAY FROM HOMESITE, THEY TRY TO MAKE YOU OUT TO BE A LIAR, AND THEY ARE ABOUT NOTHING BUT TRYING NOT TO PAY ON CLAIMS!!!! THEY DO NOT GIVE SATISFACTORY ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS, ALL THEY GIVE IS A SCRIPTED ANSWER. oh and when you do get someone that helps you, they mysteriously disappear (get fired) I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy, and will post the same thing I have said here everywhere I can to get the word out to people about this crooked company.
